Responsible for the leadership of multiple application development and support functions, leveraged across several platinum accounts: Rolls-Royce, BAE and Smart DCC. The main responsibilities of the role include people management of multiple application support teams; HR governance, Annual Goal setting, Performance Management, Financial Planning and Recruitment...

Beyond the day-to-day management of the team, other duties include;

- Ensuring multiple capabilities are working towards our Service Lines, and the wider organisational, strategic goals of achieving our availability, serivce SLA's, reducing outages and optimising IT solutions through continuous service improvement.

- Working with account management and service line colleagues to ensure that key production environment (KPE) systems are well understood/documented and compromises in availability for these systems are handled optimally avoiding any associated penalties.

Application Support Team Lead

2017 - 2022

Team Lead for the 2nd/3rd Line Wintel Application Support Team, on the Rolls-Royce account at DXC Technology. During my time in this role, myself and my team have achieved 100% SLA compliance on over 1500 incidents across 47 global applications... I have been involved in the successful management, roll-out and patching of multiple large-scale applications across the Rolls-Royce estate. The applications I currently support are hosted on a range of VM servers running Windows Server 2003 through to Windows Server 2012 operating systems. I am ITIL Foundation v3 certified, and currently work in an ITIL orientated environment with extensive knowledge of Incident, Problem, Change and Transition management.

support of both Wintel and UNIX based applications, with a focus on the support of Siemens' Manufacturing Execution System (MES), SIMATIC IT as well as the bespoke UNIX application PS2000... I am also heavily involved in the support of other key Rolls-Royce shop floor applications, such as IBM Maximo and Cognos, CDM LifeWeb, FAST Search, RR Intranet, SharePoint and RCI. The Wintel based applications I currently support are hosted on a range of VM servers ranging from Windows Server 2003 through to Windows Server 2012.
